Rifle snatching bid foiled in Bla, eight OGWs arrested | KNO

Srinagar, December 03 (KNO) : Police on Monday claimed to have foiled rifle snatching bid in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district. In a statement issued to KNO, police spokesman said that “based on a credible input that a criminal conspiracy has been hatched by some Over Ground Workers to snatch weapons from policemen on duty. Eight militant accomplices have been picked up by Police from Baramulla, Tangmarg and Srinagar areas.” Meanwhile, he said that a case FIR No. 102/2018 under section 18, 38 UA (P) Act registered in Police Station Tangmarg and investigation taken up.During investigation of matter some recovery of arms/ammunitions has been made with the assistance of other forces including CRPF and Army.(KNO)
